Mourne Mountain Bike Trails

A 45km developement of sustainable mountain bike trails are due to open this spring and will wind through both Castlewellan Forest Park and Kilbroney Forest Park in Rostrevor. This developement is set to be one of the world's top mountain biking destinations.
Oakleigh House is only 4 miles from Castlewellan Forest Park.

Oakleigh House is only a short distance from The Royal County Down Golf Club
with its 18 hole Championship course, one of the world's top ten links and there are many other scenic courses with tree lined fairways awaiting our visitors to this area. For those visitors wishing to walk through this lovely county we have The Mourne Mountains with the highest peak of Slieve Donard overlooking Newcastle bay and Tollymore Park with its many trails and tracks. Learn to climb on Hotrock at the Tollymore Mountain Centre. Horse riding trips through the hills, parks and beaches are easily arranged for novices and more experienced riders. Sailing, and outdoor pursuits are all available in this area.
